    Description

Offered is a vintage Hawaiian black & white photo of the very first YMCA building in Honolulu, circa 1880's.
This photo is of the first building built in 1881 on the corner of Hotel and Alakea Streets.
The building was officially dedicated in 1883 with King David Kalakaua and other dignitaries in attendance.
This building served 28 years as the official hall for the YMCA.
    The photo measures 4 1/2 inches x 3 1/4 inches.
The backside does have glue spots on all for corners. It appears that the photo may have been mounted in an album.
It is housed in a rigid plastic sleeve for storage and display purposes and comes from a smoke free home.
Please refer to the photos for your reference.
